History

The foundation of the city of Kępice and our tannery is closely related to the Bismarck family. At the time of industrial revolution in the 19th century a paper mill was established on the waterfront of the Wieprza River. Almost 100 years later the paper mill got converted into a tannery. Since 1999 „Kegar” Sp. z o.o. has been tanning calf leather, and since 2002 it has been produced according to “Freudenberg standards”.
